The BookTools utilities have a common architecture to make them easy to use together.
Where possible, the intent is to have these derive from the imaging models embodied in ODA RGA, TIFF, JPEG/SPIFF, DARS, PDA, PDF.
- Pg
- a physical page.
- Face
- one side of a two-sided Pg.
- Img
- an image representing some physical region of a Face.
- ImgSet
- a collection of Imgs.
- ImgNum
- an Img's assigned sequential number in the ImgSet.
- PNum
- a textual string representing the printed page number of the Face, if present and known.
- Region
- a rectangular portion of a Face.
- ConType
- the electronic content type of an Img, comprising, for example, spatial resolution, bit depth, channels per pixel, encoding method.
- PhysType
- the physical content type of a physical region of a Face, enumerating from a list including, for example, text, line art, halftone, aquatint, woodcut.
- RegionSet
- a set of Regions from a single Pg.
